About

I am an Architect, turned designer / maker, creating wearable / handleable pieces that encourage engagement and aim to challenge our perceptions.

The world around us becomes infinitely more interesting if we can interact with it in a meaningful way.  Much of my work invites the user / wearer to contribute to the piece, either by determining for themselves the configuration in which it is worn, such as my ChangeLinks piece, or by influencing the form of the piece directly.  My “Get a Grip” pieces and my spoons are made by the end user forming the grip themselves using modelling materials to make a unique form to suit their individual hand.

My work is influenced by my architectural background which encouraged me to explore materials by understanding their properties and finding new ways to use and showcase them.  I like to work with natural materials, aspire to be sustainable in my approach and embrace digital technologies when appropriate.
