I’m excited to be presenting and exhibiting, my investigations into the energy absorbing qualities of plywood at the 7th Annual Design Research symposium on May 2024.

I’m delighted to be one of 16 makers taking part in the Making It 2023 exhibition at Make South West’s lovely little gallery in Bovey Tracey, Devon. The exhibition runs until 18th March 2023.

Ply Could? Is my PhD research project @cfpr_research. It is an exploration of the potential for using plywood as a sustainable alternative to plastic. As part of my investigations I need to gain an understanding of public perception of plywood as a material. Love it or loath it? Ecological or polluting? Antiquated or futuristic?
